British Columbia, Canada is home to some of the largest fracking operations in the world.  About 9,000 wells have been drilled since 2005, according to the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission.  B.C.’s shale gas reserves are found in the Horn River Basin, Montney Play, Liard Basin and Cordova Embayment located in the northeast corner of the province.  (source)

-          LNG Canada project – proposal led by Royal Dutch Shell for a 670km TransCanada Corp. pipeline planned to transport natural gas from northeastern B.C. to a proposed new export terminal n Kitimat, B.C.  The gas would be super-cooled and loaded on ships for transport to mainly Asian markets.
