NioBay Metals – proposal to launch exploratory drilling via a permit application dated October 2016 to validate historic data.  The property is located in the district of Cochrane, 40 kms south of Moosonee.

Niobium, formerly columbium, is a chemical element with symbol Nb (formerly Cb) and atomic number 41. It is a soft, grey, ductile transition metal, which is often found in the pyrochlore mineral, the main commercial source for niobium, and columbite.

Moose Cree First Nation (MCFN) rejected the project from the outset.
